Odd Jackdaw

Crows and Jackdaws with white markings are frequent in my part of Devon, this Jackdaw seen in Dawlish on 12th January 2011 is though on of the most extreme examples that I have seen.

Hi Len

We atre getting a lot of these here in Pembrokeshire
Cant remember the exact term for the cause its genetic
Was told that birds with the white feathers arelikely to be from the same brood

Changing the subject
Spotted this the other day in a local farmers field all alone think its a Brent Goose

Tje Jacdaw is  a Leucistic  bird
Yes the second photo is aa brent goose
